We aggregate official Food Standards Agency (FHRS) hygiene scores and Companies House corporate filings. Both datasets are delivered as clean, separate tables within your export to reflect trading premises versus registered legal entities.

The dataset covers all 48 ceremonial counties of England — the standard lieutenancy areas used in official UK geography. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland use different hygiene schemes and are not included yet. See the counties page for live establishment counts.

New hygiene ratings and company registrations are updated daily from open government data. Local authorities and Companies House may publish with a short lag — the date in the CSV can be older than our import date.

Yes — that is expected. Email alerts list inspected premises or registered companies newly added after our daily update. Local authorities and Companies House may publish records with a lag. The date shown in the CSV can therefore be earlier than the email send date. Only events within your subscription's last 90 rolling days are included.

Live watch subscribers export a ZIP with establishments.csv and companies.csv (semicolon separator, UTF-8, Excel-friendly) covering full history for their scope. The free sample ZIP on the pricing page uses the same structure.

Premises and companies are separate official records — they are not merged into a single lead file. You can import both into your CRM or use establishments.csv alone if you only need inspected food premises.

Live Watch includes a full historical ZIP export for your scope while your subscription is active: establishments.csv lists inspected premises and companies.csv lists registered companies. You also get daily email alerts focused on recent activity (last 90 rolling days). Re-export anytime from your dashboard — data stays up to date until you cancel.

Each Live Watch plan includes a base scope (1 county or 1 business type). Add-ons and removals are managed from billing and take effect at the next renewal. Add-on pricing: £3/month (£30/year) per extra county, £10/month (£100/year) per extra business type.

While your Live Watch subscription is active, you can export the full historical ZIP for your scope at any time from the dashboard. Email alerts focus on recent activity (last 90 rolling days). The observatory lets you browse your subscribed scope. Access ends when you cancel — export before your billing period ends if you need a local copy.

Live Watch subscriptions are billed automatically each month or year (2 months free on annual plans) via Stripe. Scope changes from billing take effect at the next renewal — your current price and access stay unchanged until then. You receive a compliant invoice by email.

Yes. Data comes exclusively from official UK public sources: FSA Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) scores and Companies House corporate filings. Hygiene ratings are published by law; company data is public register information. Use remains subject to each source's Open Government Licence and applicable UK data protection law for B2B prospecting.

No. Live watch exports are licensed for internal business use only (sales, analysis). Reselling, redistributing or publicly republishing our raw files is not permitted under our Terms of Service.
